That will be perfect for your getting healthy.

yeah Rhett I thought so too. Tons of people jogging and running where we were. I guess I should have enjoyed doing some miles but I never went out.

So ... how do you feel this week?

From Smooth on Tue, Apr 10, 2012 at 21:25:16 from 174.27.212.157

Glad you had a great time! Walking is SO GOOD for us! :)

So are you itching to run?

From timp on Wed, Apr 11, 2012 at 05:48:25 from 99.110.188.230

Hey Teena - feeling really good in my foot, but my fitness is cr@p.

Hey Smooth - I never saw so many people running on one street in a city before (and not in a race) so it did get me itching to go.

Where were you on vacation the previous week?

I also walked a lot for the 1st week of April, but I ate even more..... I was on vacation as well. In Atlanta for part of it! We also saw Savannah, Jekyll Island and Okefenokee Swamp. The whole time I kept thinking I should have sent you an email asking about good places to run in Atlanta...

Hey Fly - that's cool! You did the whirlwind tour of the State it sounds like. Sounds fun!

Yeah we were in Puerto Rico that first week of April. I should have run down there, but never did put on my shoes.

No offense but your vacation sounds better than ours!

:)

how was the swamp ? I've never been there. Always mean to take the kids down there camping or something.

From fly on the Wall on Mon, Apr 16, 2012 at 16:17:02 from 204.113.19.47

The swamp was cool but not quite what I expected. We went to the State Park on the east side near Fargo. The swamp was logged 80 some years ago and thus almost no big cypress remain (still a lot of smaller trees). An on going drought meant that some of the "swamp" is pretty dry. They also had a forest fire last year, so areas are still blackened and lack vegetation. Lots of alligators though. We took a state park ranger led boat tour which was great, but it would have been even better with a canoe or kayak.

thanks for the info - that;s not quite what I imagined either..

we have perpetual drought in GA
