back to work - had a really good time with the kids camping this week.  We went here, http://www.gastateparks.org/CloudlandCanyon.  It was my girl's first time camping and she did really really well.  The scenery was outstanding.  And at least we hiked up and down the canyon wall stairs on Wednesday, so I can count that ac cross-training.

Anyone heard of or doing this one?  http://www.reallybigfreemarathon.com/

What an interesting idea.  You have to pay $50 upfront to register but they refund your money if you start the race.

Awesome you got some midweek camping in with the family! Sounds like a cool park, I will have to add it to my list!

That idea is Genius! Now if we could just talk Airtran into sponsoring our flight out there ... and Hyatt to put us up for a few nights!! :)

Yeah that was a perfect time to go. We had the park just about to ourselves. It was pretty weird that is was so empty. Of the 30 walk-in tent sites, none were taken (except for us) on Tuesday and only two on Wednesday.

It sure does seem like a good idea for a race. I like the way you are thinking...I'd be all over that.
