How is your ankle fairing now?? Looks like its good enough for a hike at least.

From timp on Mon, Jun 20, 2011 at 16:43:11 from 144.188.24.30

yeah man it is ok. I will try it next week I think. It is a little sore today but mostly I think it is cause i am hypersensitive to it.

Sounds like a fun day. My fathers day was pretty miserable with the kids having bad attitudes all day. By the end of the day my wife and I were frazzled.

Great way to spend Fathers Day ... and a long hike is probably a good way to ease back into things! Although I am sure it has been tough not running, you have been very smart to give it ample time to heal! Hope you can ease back into things free of pain!!

Dale - that stinks - don't they know they have to be perfect children on father's day? :)

JG - the hike was the same park as my ultra in April. I really wanted to take off and run the trails. I can't wait!

Tim, life has been busy and I've been out of the loop. Did you ever have that ankle looked at? How's it doing?

From timp on Fri, Jun 24, 2011 at 16:49:39 from 144.188.24.25

hey Rhett - never did go to the doc - just not running...

From DaleG on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 13:46:05 from 76.27.13.205

How's the ol' foot/ankle doing?

From timp on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 13:49:04 from 144.188.24.30

well Dale - I think I will try it tonight

From DaleG on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 13:54:38 from 76.27.13.205

Awesome. I may try again this weekend. It'll be like starting over for me, which I hate.

From timp on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 13:57:56 from 144.188.24.30

yeah I know what you mean. I'm not sure I know how to run anymore...

From DaleG on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 14:22:24 from 173.151.183.191

I did a half mile trial run the other night and was shocked at how hard and unnatural it felt. it was a much slower pace than I used to run and I felt wiped out after. Maybe it was because I was so weak from being sick.

From timp on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 14:29:31 from 144.188.24.30

that was probably cause of the cold -- how was your ankle?

From Rhett on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 14:44:47 from 216.67.215.85

Tim, I can't believe you're still not able to run. Good job being patient though. It will pay off.

Dale, I hope your foot is feeling better soon. Doone says the orthodics really feel weird on the arch of her foot.

I have finally been healthy for about a month and I just decided to take this week off from exercise and healthy eating completely... just because I can, not because I have to like usual. It's great!

From DaleG on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 14:51:51 from 173.151.183.191

Rhett, I was wondering what you have been up to all week.

I kept meaning to pm Doone to ask about her foot. Mine feels a little better, but I can't wait any longer, I need to start running and deal with the pain. I think I will run every other day for now. I'm still waiting for my orthotics to come in. I took them back because the arches were way too low.

From DaleG on Thu, Jun 30, 2011 at 15:23:24 from 173.151.183.191

Tim, my ankle feels fine, but the Metatarsalgia is what really hurts. I have a feeling it won't go away until I quit running completely for a long time, but I don't want to miss the St George marathon again, especially after all the time and money I have already invested in it.
