4 this morning at an easy 7:35 pace.  My legs actually feel pretty good today.  We'll see how they feel tonight after my 12-13 this late afternoon.  I'll try to do a few at MP as well.

PM =- 6 miles warmup  at 7:25ish pace then 4 at MP at 6:21 ave pace.  I felt ok - better each time I do this which is the goal I guess.  2 cooldown at 7:20ish pace

Good luck with your run tonight. What is it, about a month until your marathon? Is it on the 14th of Nov.?

How long of a taper are you planning on doing?? 2 or 3 week? And which marathon were you doing again??

I'm going to do the Chickamauga Battlefiels Marathon just south of Chattanooga, TN. I've done that the last two years with PRs for both.

I'm looking at an two week taper - My last loooong run will be on the 24th and then I'll do a 15 mile race at MP on the 31st, so that week won't be as much milage but it should still be over 70. I know two weeks before marathon is not ideal timing but I did it last year and it worked out ok. Last year I did the first 5 miles at MP+10sec and then ramped it down to a fast finish. It wasn't a full race so it didn't kill me. We'll see how I feel this year beforehand. Either way it is a good test two weeks out. I can't wait for it.
