Signed up for this one in the spring and I just haven't done my long runs to get ready for it.  Wasn't sure I was going to do it until the morning.  Decided to take my medicine and do the race.  Beatuful day for a run.  I started behind the 4:30 pace group and just took it easy.  I caught up with the 4:00 group but at 21 my knees started to protest.  I lost about 10 min in the last 5.2 due to stretching and a little walking.

All in all, it wasn't as bad as I thought.  I made it home by noon for work.

Well run and pretty well supported race.  Liked the little post race jackets and food boxes from fitful.com.  It is a very challenging course with hills everywhere.  At least the last half mile was flat...

Sounds like a good morning. To run that far without preparing for it is tough no matter how easy you take it. Good job. Maybe that will be the bit of mojo that gets you back racing fast again.

How did I miss this one? Good job gettin' it done man. How is the knee coming along now that you have had some recovery time go by. Whats your next move?
