Ran the Peachtree Road Race today.  Goal was to run 6:30's with JG.  After the first 3 the hills hit and he told me to take off and meet him at the end.  I tried to make up a little time to go under 40.  Mile 6 was 6:01 and the .2 was 5:30ish pace, but I left things a little too late.  I should have pushed a little more on the hills.  I never was close to redline except at the very end.

Either way, it was great to run this race again.  I haven't run it in several years.  BIG thanks to JG for getting me his son's race number.

40:19 time - 6:23 overall pace

Now I know a little more of where my fitness is.  I have a 4 miler in 10 days.  That should be fun.

Thanks Smooth! I hadn't run this race in 4 or 5 years so it was fun to be back at it. over 60000 people run it. It is crazy. Luckily we started in the first group so there was no weaving.

Yeah Slick I was not legal, but I had a legal bib that someone paid for at least. Yeah the 14 yr old got credit for the race. He officially finished 4th in his AG. My wife made lots of fun for me finishing 4th in the 14 and under AG. :)
