The short story is that prior to today I had run under 6 miles since my last race, on Feb 11th.  So no fitness and definitely no legs.

I was going to skip it but then I ran 4 on Thursday and decided things weren't that bad.  So I decided to give it a go and run with the pack for fun.

It was really kind of nice to run with no pressure other than to finish and not get hurt.  I moved back from my starting corral to one several back and started in the back of that.  Then I just went with the flow of the crowd.  It was fun being in a group and getting to pass lots of people.  It was even better that my foot felt pretty normal and didn't give me any problems.  My quads and hamstrings weren't enjoying the pounding but at least they didn't cramp.

My finishing time was slow but I was pleased to get through it.  It was fun to be at a big race again.

1:47:09 overall -

first 8 were 8:22 ave pace

last 5.1 were 7:51 ave.  Last one was low 7's probably (didn't use my watch so just a guess)

Nice job, Tim. Pretty impressive since you hadn't run much in more than a month. How are you feeling today?

Hey Dale thanks - I'm pretty good today. Looking forward to 30-60 min on the elliptical to loosen things up a bit.

WAHOOOO!!! That is such good news to hear that you ran a half marathon with no foot pain. Very good time (slow for YOU) consider you hadn't run much over a month. You are such a great athlete! WAY to get back and GREAT attitude! :)
