Ran the annual Valentines weekend race with the Atlanta Track Club.  It has been the site of a couple 5K prs in the past, but not today.    I was wheezing the whole way.  That must have been annoying the the runners near me.

I have a month to work on my speed before my next 5K, one in the neighborhood.  Good thing is that I remembered how to run sub 6 min miles.  I guess I could have pushed harder, but I honestly didn't feel like it.

Wow, there are some speedy people in your AG. Nice job, but sorry about the wheezing. I wheeze a lot when I run hard.

yeah nice welcome to the masters division. I get smoked :) I'll just have to use it as motivation to get me to the track.

5k's are tough. I find that it's the race where I'm the most likely to be unhappy with my results afterwards.

Congrats on getting out there and mixing it up.

Thanks Rob - at least it is good to know where my fitness is right now

That is some tough competition. Still a great time even though you are not happy with the effort.

Tim~

That Masters division is crazy fast!!! Sorry you are so old!!!!! (Hee Hee Hee ... you KNOW that I am kidding!)

Dang, that is a remarkable FAST wheezing pace!!! You must be a good multi-tasker ... in my world both cannot be done simultaneously! You rock! :) :) :)

Yeah Andy - the ATC Masters men won the XC club nationals last year, so it is a strong group.

Teena - you are always positive - thanks so much!
