Ran the 15 miler on Saturday.  I was trying for around 6 min pace, and was ok on the first 5 mile loop, but then my legs started to feel the race from a week ago.  And I was running the last 10 miles completely alone - no one in sight in front or behind me.  It was like a time trial, not a race.  I kept trying to click the miles away.  My legs were hurting quite a bit but I wanted to finish strong.  Unfortunately with 2 miles to go, my throat kind of locked up on me and I couldn't breathe for a few seconds.  I stopped and just about passed out.  But I collected myself after a minute and started going after I saw the guy who was behind me coming up.  I finished feeling ok but my throat hurt for the rest of the day.  I didn't know what happened.  It was pretty strange.

5 mile split - 30:46

10 mile split - 1:02:15

15 miles - 1:36:26 (14 second PR)

Never felt worse about a PR.  Two days later and my legs are still sore.  Lesson learned: don't race a 15 miler a week after racing a half.  Now I need to heal up for my half on Thanksgiving.
